Learning for All: Tackling Child Poverty and Education in Japan

I was introduced to Mr. Lee, head of NPO Learning for All, through a friend, and when I learned of his background and his work, coming from an impoverished korean neighborhood in rural Hyogo prefecture to becoming the forefront man in tackling child poverty in Japan, I was awestruck, aghast, and inspired, all at the same time. The stories told by Mr. Lee and his staff show a different side to the wealthy, mature, and socially secure island country of Japan, and I thought it would be the perfect first series for my personal thynk_uncut launch.

What is thynk_uncut?

A journalism project where thoughts and ideas from people around the world are uploaded in 2~3 minute,
no-edit “uncut” video form. The aim is to get real voices of real people,
without ever going through a channel associated with money or power,
and introduce new ideas that will get people thinking and talking.
